Before you book
Have these ready. They are what determine the rate and whether the shipment can travel at all.
- Destination: full address including country and postal code.
- Weight and dimensions: an approximate weight is fine for a quote, but the carrier charges on the greater of actual and volumetric weight, so large light boxes cost more than they look.
- Contents and value: needed for the customs declaration. Declaring accurately is a legal requirement, not a formality.
- Your contact number: the rider will call before arriving.
What cannot be shipped
International carriers prohibit a standard list of items, and some goods are restricted only for particular destinations. Commonly refused items include currency, batteries shipped loose, aerosols and flammable liquids, perishable food, and anything illegal in the destination country. If you are unsure about an item, ask us before you pack it rather than after collection.
Collection times
Same day collection is generally available within Colombo when a booking is confirmed early in the day. Elsewhere in Sri Lanka collection is usually the next working day. We will confirm the actual slot when we confirm your rate.
