- Contact details you give us: name, email address, telephone number and postal address, for you and for the person receiving your shipment.
- Shipment details: the contents, weight and dimensions you declare, the destination, and any customs documentation required for that country.
- Enquiry content: whatever you write in our contact form or send us by email.
- Technical data: standard web server logs, including IP address and browser type, kept for security and troubleshooting.
Why we use it
We use your information to quote for a shipment, arrange collection, book the shipment with the carrier, complete customs paperwork, keep you informed about where your parcel is, take payment, and answer your questions. We also keep records where tax or transport law requires it.
Who we share it with
To move a parcel internationally we must pass shipment and recipient details to the carrier handling it, such as DHL or DTDC, and to the customs authorities of the origin and destination countries. Those parties process the data under their own policies and legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Shipment records are retained for as long as needed to provide the service and to satisfy accounting, customs and legal requirements. Website enquiries that do not lead to a shipment are kept only as long as they are useful for following up.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. Write to info@courier.lk and we will respond.
